UDP-SAD Synchronization

UDP-SAD builds on anchor-driven synchronization (UDP-AD) by adding centralized timing from RTLS Studio. A designated anchor in each subnet broadcasts synchronization messages every second to the subnet's broadcast IP, while RTLS Studio supervises and coordinates the timing. This method combines the benefits of local anchor-driven synchronization with centralized control for enhanced reliability and scalability. Additionally, RTLS Studio and anchors can operate across different subnets.

The key benefit lies in RTLS Studio's ability to eliminate potential UWB collisions between cells in different subnets. Additionally, it provides robust fault tolerance. If a broadcasting anchor goes offline, RTLS Studio can automatically designate another anchor within the subnet as the new broadcaster, maintaining uninterrupted synchronization.
