Pairing new Trackable
This page describes the pairing process of a Trackable to Tag via RTLS Studio pairing app.
- Before any new trackable is paired, make sure that the Tag was indicated by the RTLS Studio and has an ID
- We highly recommend using a standard barcode scanner (market available readers with USB cord) for any RTLS Studio Pairing App operations
Step 1.: Click on the "Pair" section of the app. Following input window should appear. This window requires a Tag MAC address as an input.
Paring process will be aborted if:
- Chosen tag address is already assigned to another trackable name (1:1 relation between tag and trackable is required)
- Chosen tag never reported its position in RTLS studio (does not exists in RTLS studio)
Pairing process will require manual confirmation if:
- Chosen tag did not report its location in past 10 min
Step 2.: After successfully inserting the Tag MAC address in the Step 1, Pairing App will automatically require a Trackable to be assigned to it:
- Trackable can be any string of letters and numbers
- If a Trackable with a same name already exists, the pairing process will fail
Step 3.: If the Trackable creation was successful, Pairing app will notify the user with a following screen:
