Procedure for Master Selection

Master Selection

Synchronization is essential for positioning. Synchronization is driven periodically from RTLS Manager to set of Master anchors. Each location cell should have its own master which wirelessly synchronizes anchors around.

How To Procedure

Simple deployments may use Master anchors suggested from automatic "Anchors Initialization" procedure only. Nevertheless, larger deployment might require manual Master selection adjustment to achieve the best results. This process is done via following procedure:

  1. Anchor Initialization Table - provides overall score about link quality among anchors
  2. Sync Stability - check synchronization stability for anchors
  3. Anchors Restrictions - restrict anchors for given master by manual restricting line-of-sight visibility or based on environment i.e room or by distance to master anchor
  4. Sensmap Profiler  - check positioning quality for testing tag
